The meeting started at 8:35pm.

Ste read the minutes from the last meeting.

20031106-01 We have decided that the definition of a quorum is: the lesser of 4 people or 50% of the membership (rounded up).

20031106-02 Ste and Phil did enter all of DataBasement's transactions.

20031106-03 We have decided that DataBasement shall exit O as of this month. Ste shall notify Anthony. Anthony will then distribute the value of the What account across the members of the collective. At that point, people should pass money among themselves, and transact it in O, to bring their balances to zero, if they wish to personally leave O.

20031106-04 Ste will begin recording the collective's financial records starting in December, using Quicken. All collective members will initially start with a balance of zero. When the December bill comes in, and is distributed, people will then have a working balance. After each month's bill has been entered, ste will send out updated balance information to the list.

20031106-05 We have decided to not pay or charge interest on balances in the new system. This simplifies the accounting, and removes any semblence that we are a bank.

20031106-06 Ste will pick up the depreciation where anthony left off, when we exit O. At that time, we should look and see if there is anything we have overlooked that we should also be depreciating.

20031106-07 Ste will work with Anthony to determine how much Phil paid for his share of the bandwidth from the time he joined the collective through the end of April of this year. Ste will then credit Phil this amount, charging it to what/x. In effect, we will all equally pay this to Phil. Ste will report to the list the amount of the credit. This will be transacted before Databasement leaves O.

20031106-08 Plus is leaving the Collective. This would have been effective last month, but we didn't meet. Ste will ask Anthony to remove plus as of 10/02/03, so as to not unfairly charge him for an extra month.

20031106-09 The members of DataBasement would like to thank Plus for his many years of service to the collective as it's host. We wish him well and will miss him dearly.

20031106-10 As soon as we have the new collective system in place, ck will become our new mailing list manager, taking over the role from mikea. We will assist ck in setting up and using the mailman software to maintain the list(s).

20031106-11 Cr has volunteered to be our new backup mailing list manager, once we move to the new system.

20031106-12 As hinted at in the last two minutes, Dan has told us that we will indeed be getting our new collective system very shortly.

20031106-13 We took a break in the meeting for chocolate ice cream and we thought of Stephanie and hope to hear from her. The ice cream surely would have been better had she been here.

20031106-14 We called Matthew Diaz and he too is leaving the collective, effective as of 10/02/03. He said to let him know what his final balance is, so that he can take care of it, Ste will take care of that. We wish him well, and we're sorry to see him go.
